Solo Exhibition of Liu Cong
In terms of epistemology, Liu Cong’s observation of the city life is from the embedded, eye-level, perspective of the flaneur -- unlike the usual elitist and satiric approach adopted by Chinese painters. The flaneur is a member of the urban mass: he is “at home” in the city, the source of his energy; but his acute sensitivity and inborn humanity make him suffer the alienation of the urban existence and wary of its materialistic hustling.

They are inherited, innovated and mutually reflected and inspirited dynamically with the passing of time.
